Aren’t babies just wonderful? I love meeting sweet new babies, brand new and innocent and perfect. Newborn photography is such a passion of mine and I feel honored to capture these little people. Isn’t it absolutely incredible how they come into this world, into their families? The moment a mother meets her child defies all description. It’s emotional, overwhelming, wonderful, relieving- so hard to describe. There’s nothing else like it in the world.
I had the incredible blessing of having the opportunity to photograph the birth of a sweet little guy and I was in love. Such tender moments. As a mom myself I remember the labor and birth experience as incredible, but so fleeting. Before I knew it they were here- and I don’t have fast labors! I find myself wishing I had a birth photographer there. So I decided I wanted to have the experience of being that photographer. And it was awesome.
This momma did absolutely amazing. This cute family has been so fun to know and photograph as their family grows. From photos of their first son, to family photos, maternity photos, to newborn photos- I have become attached to them! Her birth was so neat- she did it all natural and she was so peaceful the whole time! I was amazed. Like, seriously mind-blown with how sweet she was even in her worst contractions and how she handled it all. I got the call at 1 o’clock in the morning, was there by 1:25, and their handsome baby boy was here by 3:30! And I was home by 7:30. What a nice way to be introduced to birth photography! Most labors are definitely not like that! It was a beautiful birth, such a beautiful couple, and the most adorable baby boy. They had the sweetest doula, Jessica, as well- I was so impressed with the way she was there for them and provided such a valuable source of extra wisdom as they went through this. The three of them made such an awesome team to watch in action.
